We opened our doors just over 1 year ago.  Since then, we have quickly built up an incredible clientele.  We are here to put beautiful art on people and in the process, change their lives forever.  This means a lot to us, our artists will put all they have into every tattoo they do.  First and foremost, we are in this business for the art.  The piece we are working on at the time might not be something we would wear personally, but it's going to be done as if it were going to be on us forever.  After all, every client that leaves our studio is connected to us for life, and we never forget that.

It is important to know that ALL work coming out of Chroma is custom drawn by our artists. It's not often you can come into our lobby and ten minutes later your sitting down in the chair for your tattoo.  A consultation is highly recommended, and in some cases it's mandatory just so we can work out the details. We then set up an appointment for a day that works best for you. Our artists will sit down with you and discuss the design of the tattoo, we'll cover all of the possibilities to be sure we're giving you a great piece of art. Even if you are looking for a small tattoo, we still want to pick your brain and give you the most unique tattooing experience.  At Chroma you won't be able to just come in and choose a picture off the wall. Our walls are covered with artwork done by local Michigan artists and photographers, this left no room for generic tattoo designs!  We are all unique, and we want unique tattoos!

Tattooing as Fine Art? We think it's perfect.

The art of tattooing has changed drastically over the last decade or two. It's amazing what artists today are capable of applying to the skin. Tattoos are even being accepted as the norm in society, it's an artistic fashion statement! Why is it then, that the tattoo shops themselves haven't made the change into the new era? Chroma Tattoo is breaking the mold of the stereotype tattoo shop. We believe that people are a canvas for fine art, so why not get tattooed in an Art Gallery? It makes perfect sense!
